This drawing and several that follow on this website are all sketches of Sophie.  Sophie modeled for me extensively from about 2006-2010.  I always worked directly from life with her, never from photos. These sketches were to be for a set of 4 paintings that would be attached to the 4 sides of a box which people could climb on and pose in whatever way they wanted.   

 

I did the paintings and made the box. It was exhibited in the 2010 Seattle Erotic Arts festival and was indeed climbed on by many people.  After the exhibit I removed the paintings and painted over 3 of them. Only one was a successful piece without serious modifications.
